I absolutely loved the Sweep Top by George and Ginger Pattern Company, but I knew it would also make a gorgeous dress. When Made for Mermaids brought out the Scarlett Dress I knew I was going to be doing some hacking.
- I used an Oakley Sweater Knit from So Sew English. The rust color is so on trend for the holiday season. Plus, it’s animal print. I’m all over that!!!!!!
- I simply cut the Sweep Top at the crop length and sewed it to the Midi length Scarlett skirt. I cut the side slit between the super high and high cut line.
