When Judy at PatternsforPirates put out a tester call for this sweater I knew I needed it in my life. Like many of you, since early 2020 I have been working from home several days a week. So, my entire wardrobe has shifted to more slouchy, oversized comfortable clothes. Well, this sweater checked every one of those boxes for me. I am a big fan of an off shoulder top and this one did not disappoint. I’ll be going thru and showing you all the options I made during testing.

#1 Options sewn: Size XL Tunic length, off the shoulder (OTS), slim sleeve with cuffs. Fabric was purchased in a pre-cut from Wal-Mart. I paired this sweater version with Peg Legs in a Faux Leather from So Sew English.

For those of you that are Shitts Creek fans, I call this my “a little bit Alexis” outfit. LOL

#2 Options Sewn: Size XL Shirt length, OTS, slim sleeve with cuffs. Paired with P4P Cozy Pants high rise, tall band with pockets. This outfit gives me the vibes to dress up for a day at the office while still comfy. Sweater main and sleeves: fabric from Sew So English. Bands, cuffs and pants: CL fabric from Purple Seamstress

#3 Options Sewn: Size XL Crop length, OTS, slim sleeve with cuffs. Paired again with P4P Cozy Pants. This fabric had been in my stash forever and is more of a structured knit of unknown content. I actually had it in a purge pile before I rescued it for this amazing lounge outfit. I won’t lie, I did wear this out of the house for a quick trip running errands.

#4 Hacked Options: Size XL Shirt length, OTS and I simply omitted the bottom sleeve section. I tacked down the upper sleeve right at seam and left rest as raw edge. For these Cozy Pants I cut just below knee and added elastic. This set is amazing in this Oakley Sweater knit from So Sew English.

#5 Hacked Options Sewn: Size XL Shirt length, OTS, loose sleeves shortened with added cuff. Body main and cuffs in a sweater knit (JoAnn’s) with sleeves and bands in French Terry (So Sew English)

#6 Hacked Options Sewn: Size XL Extra cropped length, OTS, short sleeves (added 1″ and hemmed). Another pair of Cozy Pants without pockets. The stripe is a ribbed knit from a bundle at Wal-Mart and the camo / floral is French Terry from So Sew English. I had just a very small amount of the camo left and this was the perfect scrap-buster for it. I even sewed a small stripe down the dolman sleeve for an extra pop. I think this might actually be may favorite of the bunch.

I hope you enjoyed seeing all my Sweater Weather makes. I can’t wait to see what you make and post on P4P FB page.
